EDM WEATHER POLICIES:

EDM will post on Facebook by 2:00pm if bad weather prevents dance classes from being held that evening. We may not always follow school cancellations and closings so please make sure you follow EDM on Facebook to stay updated. Classes are allowed two cancelled classes before a makeup session will be offered. If classes are cancelled EDM will work on scheduling makeup sessions (after the two initial cancellations). If your dancer is unable to attend the makeup session no other makeup session will be offered.

EDM TUITION POLICIES:

Tuition is due no later than the 5th of every month. All families are required to have a card on file. This year EDM will be holding all families accountable for overdue balances and a late fee of $25 will be processed on your card on file by the 6th of every month if tuition is not paid. If your balance goes over two months worth of tuition your dancer may not be allowed to take classes until the balance is paid in full or you have set up a payment plan with the director. As always please talk to the EDM Director, Maggie, if you have any questions or concerns regarding payments.

EDM POLICIES:

EDM is an animal free zone. No household pets are allowed in our building.

EDM is a drug and alcohol free zone. There is no smoking or drinking allowed on our premises. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping, and any alcoholic beverages. If a dancer is caught with any of these items in their dance bag or in the studio they will be excused from EDM for the remainder of the year.

EDM SHOWCASE POLICIES:

EDM tries to have all costumes decided on by the beginning of December. All costume balances are due paid in full by May 1st. Dancers will not be allowed to take the costumes home until all costume AND tuition balances are paid in full.

EDM requires all dancers to participate in the showcase if they are enrolled in a class. No more class enrollments will take place after Christmas break.

EDM requires all dancers to participate in the showcase picture day! The date is TBD. Time is TBD. More info to follow.

EDM will be having a run through/rehearsal of the show on TBD. All costumes must be worn but hair and makeup is not necessary.

EDM Showcase this season is scheduled for May 15th at time TBD at the Newton High School. May tuition is still due for the full month. EDM does not have a showcase fee to help offset this.

EDM LOBBY POLICIES:

Due to the new limited space, our common area will be closed to parents and guardians during dance classes this season! There is no way to block the common area from the dance space. For this reason, we can't have dancers distracted by their parents sitting in the common area. Please come in and drop off your kids and pick them up, but during classes the common area will be closed to everyone except dancers. EDM will have two helpers along with the teacher in the combo classes and preschool tumbling class to help with changing shoes, potty breaks, and anything else your dancer may need.Please clean up after yourself before the night is over. All dinners need to be thrown away and all trash needs picked up. If a parent is asked to come into a studio please remove all outside shoes before entering our studios.

EDM CLASS EXPECTATIONS:

Please encourage your dancer to use the bathroom prior to class. This will ensure we can get through the lesson for the day and to avoid as many distractions as possible.

EDM will have student assistants in some of our little kid classes. These older dancers will help the EDM staff member with potty breaks, putting on the kids shoes, and demonstrating dance moves for the students. While they are in that classroom they deserve the same amount of respect as the EDM staff member.EDM loves to celebrate birthdays! If your dancer wants to bring treats for their birthday please avoid anything messy or anything with common allergies. Treats will be handed out at the end of the class.
